Sailors - K5-2nd

1st Hour

 

Mozart and Monet  - Art and music for the younger set.  We will learn about famous artists and musicians, work on fun art projects and learn a bit about simple music theory, and sing some songs. We will also have free play after each lesson.

Science + Bible = Fun - Explore God's creation through science! We will combine biblical truths with scientific laws that people often think are at war with each other. Come join us for  hands-on games and activities.

Learning with Legos  - Students will learn about various topics (history, zoology, geography, etc) through stories read in class. Then they'll use creativity while exercising fine motor skills to make builds that correlate with the topic. Students will also practice presenting their creations to their peers.

Class Fee: $15 for new $5 for continuing

 

Math Craft  - Join us for a fun filled math class. We will be counting, adding, sorting, graphing, studying geometry and of course crafting! Some of our lessons will also include holiday crafts to go along with upcoming holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter and St. Patrick’s Day.

2nd Hour

PE - Time to move! Participate in a fun game or activity with your class, and bring a snack from home to enjoy. (Teacher: Lorimer)

Supplies: Please wear tennis shoes and weather-appropriate clothing as PE is usually held outside.

3rd Hour

Game Schooling  - Join us as we play multiple games through-out the semester to improve memory, cooperative play, fine motor skills, problem solving, and more.

Supplies: Pencil and colors to each class

Wild Things Read and Create - Each class, we will read a story or two and make a craft or play a game relating to what we read. Come have fun with us as we dive into magical tales that will stir your imagination and take you on wild adventures.

All About Animals - Come explore the exciting animal world with us this semester! Each week we will learn about a new animal with hands-on activities such as crafts, books, art, nature walks, as well as in-person visits from some local animal friends! Some animals we will be studying this semester are Farm Friends, Really Cool Reptiles, A Walk on the Wild Side Exotics, and Interesting Insects among others.

Exploring Nature with Little Hands 

Snowflakes, butterflies, buzzing bees! 

Bugs, nature crowns, budding trees! 

These are a few of my favorite things! 

In this class, we will read-explore-craft-and learn about all things nature. Your child will enjoy the fun read-aloud books and interactive activities, as well as, learn to embrace nature and all it offers.
