Life happens, and hopefully having a plan in place to deal with it will help this new school year run as smoothly as possible. Communication is the key, so please follow the steps given as soon as possible so we can plan for a substitute and make sure that your class can continue as normal.

 

** All teachers are required to leave a packet with the co-op directer with enough materials for a substitute to easily teach the class in the event that a teacher unexpectedly cannot attend. If you have a planned absence, please provide additional materials to your assistant specifically for the class that you will be missing. **

Steps of absence procedures:

 

1. Parent who will be absent:

​

~ Text the substitute coordinator that you will be absent.

 

~ Please include your name, the classes you teach/assist in and the names of the teacher/assistant in each of those classes.

​

2. Sub coordinator:

​

~ For teachers, text their assistant to inform them that they will be teaching the class that date. Then text an available adult from the roster to fill in as the assistant in that class.

​

~ For assistants, text an available adult from the roster to fill in as the assistant in that class.
